Apple AirPod Pro 2 may be launched soon

Details about the AirPods Pro 2 are unclear, though several leaks in the past have given us an idea. One of the most anticipated features of the 2 Pro model was the heart rate tracking capabilities that already support earbuds like the Amazfit PowerBuds and Bose SoundSport Pulse

Apple AirPod Pro 2 may be launched soon

Apple AirPod Pro 2 TWS earbuds have been a part of leaks for a while now, but we are yet to see their debut. Last year, Apple analyst and journalist Mark Gurman called for the launch of AirPods Pro 2 by the end of 2022. Now, the journalist has revealed that the Pro 2 earbuds will finally debut on September 7 along with the iPhone 14 series.

In his latest newsletter, Gurman writes, “The new AirPods Pro will update a model that first went on sale in October 2019 … I reported last year that the new AirPods Pro would arrive in 2022, and now I have been told that Wednesday will be his big unveiling.”

Details about the AirPods Pro 2 are unclear, though several leaks in the past have given us an idea. One of the most anticipated features of the 2 Pro model was the heart rate tracking capabilities that already support earbuds like the Amazfit PowerBuds and Bose SoundSport Pulse. However, Gurman had denied these claims and said that the AirPod Pro 2 will get this option. In terms of design, the new Apple earbuds may have a sleeker stem, but a new architecture to house more sensors or a bigger battery. A leak indicates that the new earbuds may adopt an in-ear wing tip design for a more snug fit.

Another big rumor involves the addition of Apple’s next-gen Apple H1 chipset, though the moniker is vague. Apple’s first-generation H1 powers the third-generation AirPods and AirPods Pro (2019). The new chipset could also unlock support for higher sound quality through Apple’s Lossless Audio Codec (ALAC), which supplants Bluetooth entirely. Or Apple could add Bluetooth 5.2 support, which uses the LC3 codec to transmit audio more efficiently. In terms of pricing, we can expect the AirPods Pro 2 to cost more than Rs 20,000, as the first-gen model currently comes with an MRP of Rs 26,300. Apple also sells the more expensive AirPods Max over-ear headphones for Rs 66,100.

Specifications :

It appears that the upcoming Poco M5 is going to be a 4G phone, though a 5G variant may arrive later. Poco has set up a dedicated page that reveals the design and specifications of the smartphone.

In terms of design, the Poco M5 will get a distinct Poco Yellow color, and the image teases the leather finish on the back. On the other hand, the triple cameras are housed inside a larger module that adopts a black shade. On the front, the selfie camera is housed inside a waterdrop notch, which is a bit outdated as many smartphone brands are adopting a more modern hole-punch design.

The official page highlights that the Poco M5 is powered by MediaTek Helio G99 SoC paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone also supports Turbo RAM which uses idle ROM to increase the RAM capacity. However, this technology does not provide a huge jump, but only a slight jump in performance.

Poco M5 sports a 90Hz 6.58-inch full-HD+ display with 240Hz touch sampling rate. There is also support for L1 Widevine certification that lets users watch videos on the OTT platform at the highest resolution.

Other key specifications are yet to be revealed, though we have some information about the smartphone through leaks. A report states that the Poco M5 will also pack a 5,000mAh battery, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a depth sensor.
